How it works
From card to “safe to remove”, step by step. You just insert the card: BNP.IA copies, verifies and lets you know.

Name the project
Open BNP.IA on the event computer and name the project, like “Ana & Leo’s Wedding”. It becomes the main folder on every destination.
No internet needed during the event.

Choose the destinations
Plug in your external SSDs and HDDs: they show up right away and you just click to use them. A folder on the computer works too. Use as many destinations as you like: the same copy goes to all of them at once.
Google Drive is optional: connect your account and choose the folder.

Start receiving cards
Click Começar a receber cartões (start receiving cards) and insert the card in the reader. The first time, say whose card it is: photographer or videographer, camera (BNP.IA suggests the model it detected) and card name, like Card1. Click Cadastrar e copiar (register and copy).
Next time, the same card is recognized on its own and goes straight into the queue.

Verified copy
Every file goes to all destinations at once and is read back from each destination to check it against the original. With several readers, cards wait in a queue so readers and disks aren’t overloaded, and each one shows its own progress.

Safe to remove
When every file matches on every destination, the card shows “Pode remover” (safe to remove), or “Pode ejetar” on a Mac. Only then take the card out and format it in the camera.
With Google Drive, the upload continues from the verified copy on the disk: you don’t need to wait for the cloud with the card in the reader.

Move it to the main drive
Plug in the event SSD and use Transferir backup (transfer backup): choose the projects and your main studio drive. The copy is verified the same way and nothing is deleted from the event disk.
Every copy creates a report, ready to print or save as PDF.
Inside the verification
SHA-256 is a fingerprint calculated from every byte of a file. If the copy’s fingerprint matches the original’s, the file is identical. Checking only the size, as many programs do, doesn’t catch a corrupted file that kept the same size. On Google Drive, every uploaded file is checked against the checksum (MD5) that Drive itself calculates.

The names are the ones you type in the app; the camera is detected automatically.
What if something goes wrong?
- Card pulled out mid-copy
- BNP.IA warns you, waits for the card to come back and resumes where it stopped. What’s already verified stays done; only the interrupted file is redone.
- Full or unplugged disk
- It tells you right away which destination failed and keeps copying to the others.
- File with the same name
- Nothing is overwritten. If a file with the same name and size is already there, it’s marked as already present; if the size is different, it shows up as a conflict in the report for you to decide.
- No internet at the event
- Copying to HDDs and SSDs works offline, and the license keeps working for up to 30 days without a connection.

Frequently asked questions
How does the free trial work?
Download and install BNP.IA and, on the activation screen, choose “Testar grátis por 7 dias” (free 7-day trial) with your name and email. No card required. One trial per computer.
Windows showed a warning during installation. What now?
On the first installation, Windows may show a blue screen saying “Windows protected your PC”. It’s a common warning for new programs and doesn’t mean anything is wrong: click More info and then Run anyway. Later updates, done by the app itself, don’t show the warning.
Which computers does it work on?
Windows 10 and 11 (64-bit). It works with SD and CFexpress card readers, external SSDs and HDDs, and folders on the computer itself. Mac coming soon (macOS 14 Sonoma or later), with the same license valid on both.

How do I install it on a Mac?
Download the version for your Mac (Apple chip or Intel — check under the Apple menu, in About This Mac), open the downloaded file and drag BNP.IA into the Applications folder. The first time you open it, your Mac asks whether you want to open an app downloaded from the internet: click Open.
What language is the app in?
For now, the BNP.IA app is in Portuguese (Brazil). This site, checkout and My account are available in English.
Do I need internet at the event?
Not to copy to HDDs and SSDs: copying works offline. The internet is used to activate the license, to check the license from time to time (the app works for up to 30 days offline) and to upload to Google Drive.
Does BNP.IA give me Google Drive space?
No. BNP.IA sends the copies to your own Google Drive account, using the storage of your Google plan (15 GB free or a Google One plan). Photos and videos go straight from your computer to your account, without passing through our servers. Using Drive is optional.
Can I use it on more than one computer?
Each license is for 1 computer. You can buy up to 5 at once, with up to 20% off. Switched computers? Release the old one in My account and activate on the new one with the same email and key.
Is it a subscription? How do I renew?
It’s not a subscription and there’s no automatic charge. When you want to renew, use the “Renovar licença” (renew license) button in the app or the bnp.ia.br/en/renovar page: the new period is added to what you still have, so you don’t lose any days.
What payment methods are accepted?
Pix (confirms in seconds) and credit card in up to 12 installments, through MercadoPago. Prices are in Brazilian reais (R$). BNP.IA never receives your card details.
What if I change my mind?
You can cancel within 7 days of purchase and we refund the full amount, as required by the Brazilian Consumer Protection Code. Just write to suporte@bnp.ia.br.
Does BNP.IA erase or format the card?
Never. It only reads the card and copies it. You format it in the camera when BNP.IA says “Pode remover” (safe to remove).
